What is John Willford Constructions History?

A Contra Costa County Business since 2000

JWC was conceived in 2000 out of the need, initially, to shorten John Willford’s commute and increase more time with his family. However this desire was quickly surpassed by the recognized demand of local clients to have good local Contractors available for their area. As mentioned in his bio, our founder John had experience in Construction Management, a Construction Engineering degree and an Architectural background with such fortune 500 clients such as Sprint, Cisco, Intel, HP, and this well prepared him to service this ever-growing demand.

JWC humbled beginnings were started out of his garage with the primary business thrust of focusing on clients in central Contra Costa County.

The demand for quality and integrity in residential applications in our area quickly filled JWC’s backlog. Resultantly the Company grew and allowed JWC to grow a cadre of qualified and talented sub contractors.

In 2002 JWC had come of age, and through controlled growth via word-of-mouth referrals, began to offer employment opportunities to select part time employees.

In 2004, again through demands of continual growth, the need to expand from a small business to a corporate structure to meet larger projects was realized. JWC utilized web-based advertising, significant risk-management, and increased staffing to continue to cultivate an ever growing client base.
